Some of my flowers are still blooming. The wind keeps knocking the tall Canna stalks down and I have to trim them back.
But there are still white, pink, and purple flowers out there. Just not as many.
It may not be fall weather yet, but I think the season has begun.

Above is one of the purple plants in the galvanized gardens. The flowers in these containers have put on quite the show.
I recall as a child this was one of my favorite colors in the crayon box. A pinkish-purple. Now what was it called? Anyone remember?
Ivy:

Here is Ivy leaving the patio door and is likely headed to the other window in the living room.
She has three spots where she keeps a cat’s eye on what’s going on outdoors.

There are still petunias here and there. But they seem tired and ready to shut down.
Petunias are almost always on my spring line-up to purchase for my garden. These annuals are cheaper to buy than perennials and last all summer and into fall.
Ridley:
If you watched “Line Of Duty” then you will remember Adrian Dunbar. He now stars in a TV series called “Ridley”.
It has just been renewed for a second season on PBS Masterpiece on the Amazon Channel. I am currently watching Season 1, and I love this show!
He is a retired DI who owns a jazz club. Since Ridley is a singer as well as an actor, that element is brought into “Ridley.”
If you haven’t heard Adrian Dunbar sing, you have to watch this show. He has one of those near-perfect oh-how-easy-it-is-to-hit-the-right-note voices.
Dunbar is not what you would call handsome. But listen to him sing, how it animates him, and you’ll fall in love with Adrian.

About Adrian Dunbar:
Dunbar was born and brought up in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, in Northern Ireland, the eldest of seven siblings. He has two brothers John and Roy who live in Birmingham.
He was educated at St Joseph’s College, Enniskillen, before attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Adrian and the Australian actress, Anna Nygh, married in 1986 after being set up on a blind date.
The couple shares a daughter, Madeleine. Adrian is also the stepfather to Anna’s son Ted from a previous relationship.
What I’m Watching:
Obviously, I’m watching “Ridley”, but I’m almost finished watching the first season. I believe I have two more episodes. Then I will have to wait for the second season, which has been renewed.
Earlier in the week I watched the third episode of the 5th season of “Unforgotten.”

Last season Nicola Walker left the show, and Sinead Keenan now has Cassie’s job.
As Season 4 wrapped up, DCI Cassie Stuart was involved in a violent car crash. In the end, Cassie didn’t make it. Sunny eulogized his close friend and mentor and plunged into deep grief.
As Season 5 began, the investigative police unit, especially Sunny, was still mourning the loss of DCI Stuart.
DCI Jessica James was brought in to replace her. As Season 5 began, the team investigated the discovery of human remains in a newly renovated home in West London.
The new DCI needs to be at the top of her game, but her first day on the job is marred by a crushing surprise in her family life.
What I’m Reading:

Yesterday I finished reading “Since We Fell” by Dennis Lehane.
Then last night I began reading Harlan Coben’s “Gone For Good”, which is now a Netflix original series.
