You cannot, in the name of “honor your father and mother so it may be well with you”, buy or send money for Muslim festival ram or idol or traditional festival paraphernalia to your parents as a duly born-again Christian. No! Otherwise, you partake of their sins and block their way to salvation. I know many believers do this ignorantly, but it’s a lopsided interpretation of God’s instruction.
Your wife or children don’t have to go and stay with your Muslim or pagan family to represent you or appease them during their festival, for it’s not Christ-based. If God has saved you from such, seek for others to come out of it. Don’t appease them. Christ is the way, the truth, and the life! John 14:6.
There’s no difference between giving somebody alcohol or giving them money to buy it. So, if you’re taking a wife from a family that insists you must do either, take your leave. If the lady is yours, she will follow you. What blessings will alcohol-influenced parents-in-law give a child of God?
Why must your wife have to dance with family masquerade for marrying the first son or giving birth to twins if you’re a true believer? What accord is between light and darkness? Can you sing Christian worship songs while the masquerade parades? Stay with one. Christ or family god (goddess if there be any)!
Your spouse-to-be doesn’t have to be an object of church-wide prophetic analysis. Are the analysts the ones you want to marry? Your personal conviction based on the conclusion between you and God as His child is your blueprint for your marital destiny!
A true child of God in Christ Jesus cannot under any circumstance be married to a person who’s not a true child of God (maybe a Mouth-Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, animist, Jehovah’s Witness, and so on), just like Light and darkness cannot live together. No!
Your friends, family, pastors, and parents can influence who you marry by ways of examples, instructions, guidance, and counseling but have no right to impose who the person should be as that’s your destiny and duty. If you’re being beaten, bullied, or abused to cringe against your will, run before you’re killed. If living in the West, report to authorities for protection!
Profuse prayers to the God of heavens with your own mouth, thorough study and standing on God’s word, and down-to-earth sincerity are all needed in your search for a God-given spouse!
